Only open a week. I had a falafel gyro with green sauce. Everything was fresh and tasty. The falafel were not garlicky. Priced were reasonable. The two of us are here for less than Five Guys. Give it a try.

As an ODU student, I was really excited for halal munchies to open because I’d been to another location before and the food was angelic. The first time I went was shortly after the location opened, i ordered a chicken cutlet with lettuce, tomato, and no cheese, I noticed there were ppl in there but they had already eaten so I was like perfect, this shouldn’t take too long. Im waiting for about 15 minutes before I ask the cashier if its okay for me to leave and come back and he say yea, so I leave for about 10 minutes and come back. Its now been around 25 minutes since I ordered. I come back and the guy at the counter tells me it’ll be about 5 minutes, but then he turns to the cook and the cook begins frying the chicken. When I go up to ask about it, the cashier cuts me off and tells me to just grab a drink then turns away, then wait for about 30 more minutes. The food was really good and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, so I went back again today and I ordered the same thing and another with just lettuce. The food comes out and one is correct and the other is just a chicken and cheese sandwich so i got to the counter and ask if I can get it remade. I have to fully argue with the cook while he's looking at my receipt that shows what I ordered, then he brings out the food with an attitude. It’s a bit upsetting because the food is so good but the service and hostility I’ve received both times makes spending my money there, feel like im paying to be disrespected and disappointed.

The food tastes great, I got the mixed platter and I really enjoyed it. The space needs to be made a little more comfortable though
